9:00 AM
It was Sunday, Excellent. Las Palomas Sunday brunch should be in full swing, which meant a layout of dramatic proportions, everything from huevos rancheros to waffles, and blueberry syrup to eggs benedict and fruits, yoghurt and granola. They arrived at 9:05.
10:15 AM
After breakfast they settled on some snorkeling up the cost at the pristine La Escopama beach to wile away the rest of the morning, and watch the surfers. It was just what they needed. The pool back at the Pueblo Bonito was waiting.
12:30 AM
Back at the hotel, a noon eye-opener at Cascadas was on their menu before lunch. They enjoyed the setting looking on towards Tres Islas, as well as the banter of the bartender.
1:15 PM
Cilantro’s was their next stop. Lunch, for two. Time to try some more of the local catch – snapper for him, tuna for her – and to reflect on how much fun they where having, with much more to come.
3:00 PM
That afternoon had been reserved for a rest and relaxation. What better way to spend an afternoon than with arts and crafts.
5:00 PM
The table was quiet, the service excellent, and the linguini and clams served with a crisp Sangiovese where the perfect start to the veal wich came next. They moved up to a Ruffinon with the main course, the finished with a cappuccino to accompany the tiramisu they shared. Room for one, glass of port? Of course, with la cuenta. Gracias.
8:00 PM
Something different tonight? Of course. They relaxed completely in La Nao, their restaurant of choice, and night in the resort. I believe I'll have the salmon. And I, the veal. It was perfect. The food, the wine, the company.
10:15 PM
One last glipse of Tres Islas from the beach was all they required before calling it a night. Because tomorrow, like everyday since their arrival, they have plans. So much to do, so little time. In Mazatlán at the Pueblo Bonito.
